Bunmi Malik is a legal, governance, and compliance professional with over 15 years of experience providing legal and regulatory advice, managing compliance risk, and enhancing corporate governance standards across multiple jurisdictions in Africa.
She is an Ivy League-trained lawyer with an LLB/bachelor's degree in law from the University of Ibadan, an LLM/Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Certificate in Business and Law from the Wharton Business School.
Bunmi is also qualified to practice in Nigeria and New York and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK. Bunmi is currently the Director of Conduct, Financial Crime, and Compliance Governance for Nigeria and West Africa at Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria and a member of the Country Leadership team.
Has 15+ years of experience in governance, financial controls, and compliance for private sector and donor-funded organizations. Her expertise includes financial management, enterprise risk, internal audit, donor assurance, and board governance.
She is a co-founder and legal advisor at Rights Bridge Africa, a consultancy firm bridging the gap victims and civil society organizations face in delivering justice for human rights violations, and strengthening advocacy against cultures of impunity. The firm believes justice should be available to everyone, regardless of wealth or status.
Corrinne Ngurukie-Yamo joined BOMA in June 2026 as Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than 21 years of leadership experience in economic inclusion, youth empowerment, and community resilience across Africa. She works closely with BOMA's Board, Executive Committee, staff, partners, and governments to drive the organization's strategy and advance its mission to end extreme poverty in Africa's drylands.
Corrinne has led the design and scale of high-impact development programmes across Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Tanzania, working in partnership with governments, donors, and the private sector to create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities, particularly women and youth. She is recognized for translating strategy into action through data-driven, community-centred approaches that deliver measurable and lasting impact.
Before joining BOMA, Corrinne served as Chief Executive Officer at Generation Kenya. She has also held senior leadership positions with FHI 360, USAID DREAMS, the American Red Cross, and Save the Children USA, including serving as Project Director for ASPIRES-South Africa and Africa Regional Technical Advisor for the YouthSave Project. She has also consulted with MicroSave and Financial Sector Deepening Kenya. Earlier in her career, she worked in the banking sector, building a strong foundation in financial systems that continues to inform her development leadership.
Corrinne is passionate about building partnerships, strengthening local systems, and working alongside communities to create lasting pathways out of extreme poverty.
Elizabeth is a seasoned executive leader with over 20 years of experience in corporate, international and local NGO environments. She brings expertise in governance, risk oversight, legal and donor compliance, and organizational transformation. She has served on senior leadership teams, guided strategic restructures, and strengthened institutional accountability frameworks, with an MBA and strong grounding in fiduciary responsibility, safeguarding, and ethical leadership.
Elsie Mbugua is the Founder and Managing Director of Leadwood Energy, a specialist energy advisory company focused on renewable energy projects. She was also one of the financial transaction advisors to the Government of Kenya on the country's crude oil and natural gas prospects and is considered a thought leader and a key policy maker in Africa's energy markets.
She is well known for working on what she terms as 'first of a kind' energy transactions in the region. She has been involved in restructuring various parastatals in Kenya through Financial Independent Business Reviews, developing the framework for a local currency Power Purchase Agreement, negotiating the Heads of Terms for Kenya's Upstream Crude Project, overseeing critical infrastructure projects, and driving the energy transition discussions on the African Continent.
She is the co-founder of a US 501c3 called Ekenywa, which builds water infrastructure projects to ensure all rural public schools in Kenya have access to clean water. So far, more than 70,000 Kenyans rely on this infrastructure for their daily access to clean water.
Fidelis Mugure Kangethe joined BOMA in June 2026 as Director of Strategic Partnerships and New Business Development. She leads the organization's strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, donor engagement, and business development efforts, helping to expand BOMA's reach and advance its mission to end extreme poverty in Africa's drylands.
With more than 15 years of experience in partnerships, fundraising, and business development, Fidelis has worked across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, building strategic collaborations that drive sustainable development and organizational growth. Her expertise includes institutional fundraising, donor engagement, partnership development, strategic positioning, and resource mobilization.
Before joining BOMA, Fidelis held senior leadership roles with Saferworld, Living Goods, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Oxfam, and CARE, where she successfully led partnership and fundraising initiatives with governments, bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and the private sector.
Fidelis holds qualifications in Communication, Community Development, and Development Studies from Daystar University and the University of South Africa. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Development Studies at the University of South Africa.
Outside of work, Fidelis enjoys mentoring and coaching emerging leaders, travelling, nature walks, and exploring diverse cultures through hospitality and community experiences.
Frank F. DeGiovanni retired from the Ford Foundation in April 2016. At the time of his retirement, he was Senior Advisor to the President of the foundation, advising the foundation's regional offices and thematic areas on strategy development.
Previously, he served as Director of the Financial Assets unit at the foundation, where he led the foundation's worldwide efforts to build financial assets for disadvantaged people through grants and program-related investments. This work focused on savings, individual asset development, rural livelihood development, and consumer financial services, as well as program-related investments to organizations that use capital to achieve their charitable mission.
He currently consults nonprofit organizations and serves on the board of the New Hampshire Endowment for Health and Trickle Up. He has a Ph.D. and a master's degree in city and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Greg Gottlieb is the CEO of Dimora Brands, a leading kitchen cabinet hardware company in the United States, where he has helped guide the company to increase its size, scale, and market share over a dozen-plus years.
At Armstrong World Industries, an international building products company, Greg led the Asia-Pacific business. Living in Shanghai from 2006 to 2011, Greg's scope of work included China, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
Greg spent the first 10 years of his career at The Boston Consulting Group. At BCG, his projects crossed the industrial, consumer, healthcare, and financial services sectors. His work included strategy formation, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness.
Greg fell for BOMA on a visit to Kenya and Ethiopia in 2022. “I got out into rural Kenya, met with the BOMA team and with dozens of BOMA program participants and graduates,” he says. “I saw both the need in person and the solutions in action.”
Greg received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His undergraduate degree was awarded in Sociology (Organizational Behavior) and Economics with distinction by Stanford University.
Jacqueline Del Rossi joined BOMA in November 2019. At the time of her retirement in 2014, Jacqueline was the Principal of J. Del Rossi Consulting, LLC. In that capacity, she provided management, project management, and information systems consulting as well as business process redesign to major universities and not-for-profit institutions.
Before being an independent consultant, Jacqueline was Senior Vice President at Key Bank, responsible for cross-functional project management, including an initiative that established Key Bank as the first regional bank to provide nationwide banking capabilities. As CIO of the Research Foundation for the State University of New York, she optimized application development activities and standardized the information technology technical architecture. She also held CIO positions at the New York State Workers' Compensation Board and the New York State Office of Mental Health.
During her tenure in state government, she was instrumental in establishing the New York State Forum for Information Technology. Jacqueline holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Queens College, City University of New York.
James Shiganga has over three decades of senior executive experience and visionary leadership. He demonstrated leadership in building material, manufacturing, and mining sectors across key emerging economies in Sub-Saharan Africa. His track record includes project management, acquisitions, post-acquisition integrations, and oversight of significant industrial investment ventures. Additionally, he has a proven ability to establish strategic alliances and drive competitive growth strategies.
During his tenure with Lafarge SA, a major multinational corporation, he spearheaded the growth strategy and development of their Sub-Saharan Africa business. Starting from a single country operation in Kenya, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's footprint to encompass 10 countries, including prominent markets like Nigeria and South Africa. This journey positioned Lafarge SA as the industry and market leader in the region.
Throughout his career, he has successfully guided both multinational corporation subsidiaries and small private enterprises through their growth and expansion endeavors. James holds a BSc Honours in Mathematics as well as an Executive MBA.
Mark joined the BOMA Project board in November 2019. Previously, he served as EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Virtus Investment Partners, Inc., a publicly traded asset management firm based in Hartford, CT, until his retirement in July 2019. Virtus is a premier provider of investment management services to individual and institutional clients, including open and closed-end mutual funds and ETFs, employing a multi-boutique structure of affiliated managers and select sub-advisers.
Throughout his career as a C-Suite legal executive and governance professional, Mark has served as a trusted adviser to boards of directors, helping to guide organizations through major transactions, regulatory investigations, significant litigation, and other business challenges.
He also has had the opportunity to observe and learn from accomplished and dedicated board members operating in both routine and stressed circumstances. He understands well not only the role and responsibility of boards but the importance of the diligence, independence, and collegiality with which its members must operate.
Patricia Campbell joined BOMA's board in January 2018. In her role as Executive Vice President for the Office of the Trustees of Tufts University, she is responsible for finance, budgeting, treasury functions, human resources, construction, buildings and grounds, academic and administrative computer services, internal auditing, real estate, and risk management.
Patricia returned to Tufts after serving as Vice President for Finance and Administration at WGBH, Boston's public broadcaster, for 3 years. At WGBH, she managed the construction and relocation to new studios in Brighton. Patricia formerly served for eight years as the Executive Associate Dean at the School of Dental Medicine, where she introduced a new IT system, established new financial controls, initiated a strategic planning process, and reorganized the dental clinic operations. Prior to Tufts, she served as the Deputy Commissioner for Administration and Finance at the New York State Office of Mental Health, where she oversaw a budget well in excess of $1B.
Ms. Campbell holds a B.A. and an M.L.S. from SUNY Albany and an M.P.H. from Tufts University.
Philip, a citizen of both the UK and Rwanda, is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Global Health Equity. He previously provided leadership at the University of Rwanda, first as Principal of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and then as Vice Chancellor.
She is a seasoned nonprofit finance leader with over 18 years of experience providing financial oversight, governance, and strategic leadership. She currently serves as Director of Finance at Seed Global Health, where she oversees financial planning, risk management, and compliance across U.S. and international operations.
She also leads strategic partnerships, proposal development, fundraising, and resource mobilization to support BOMA’s growth and impact. She supports strategic partnerships, proposal development, fundraising, and resource mobilization through technical leadership and programme design.
With more than 20 years of international development experience, Roseirene’s expertise spans the Graduation Approach, economic inclusion, market systems development, climate adaptation, social protection, refugee livelihoods, gender-responsive programming, and resilience building. She has designed and managed complex, donor-funded programmes across Africa, translating evidence into practical, scalable solutions that strengthen livelihoods and build resilience.
Before joining BOMA, Roseirene held senior leadership and technical advisory roles with World University Service of Canada (WUSC), TechnoServe, GrowthAfrica, AMSCO, Kindernothilfe, and Nairobits Trust. She has worked closely with governments, development partners, the private sector, and research institutions to strengthen inclusive systems and improve outcomes for vulnerable communities.
Spring Hollis is the CEO and founder of Star Strong Capital, a boutique alternative investment firm.
Ms. Hollis has two decades of experience in financial services, previously serving as a portfolio manager at Park Cities Asset Manager and a managing director at Deutsche Bank in the Global Markets division.
Thomas Kong'ong'o is the Chief Technology and Performance Officer at BOMA, where he leads the organization's technology, performance, and data systems that support large-scale economic inclusion and poverty graduation programs.
Thomas oversees the systems and processes that enable BOMA to measure impact, strengthen learning, and continuously improve our programmes. His leadership ensures that evidence and data inform decision-making as we support people and governments across Africa's drylands with adapted economic inclusion programmes that reduce poverty and build resilience. He leads the use of technology, real-time data, and performance systems to strengthen program delivery, improve accountability, and ensure that economic inclusion and poverty graduation programs reach the most vulnerable communities, including those in remote and climate-affected ASAL regions, and to improve the technology agency of these populations.
With a background in technology, financial services, and operational transformation, he has deep expertise in building systems that strengthen program delivery and accountability. He is actively engaged in advancing practical approaches to economic inclusion and poverty graduation, helping shape how these programs can be delivered effectively and at scale.
Wicklife Odhiambo joined BOMA in June 2026 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and serves as a member of the Executive Committee. He provides strategic leadership for finance, procurement, administration, grants management, compliance, and operational support, working closely with the CEO, Board, and leadership team to strengthen organizational effectiveness and support BOMA's mission to end extreme poverty in Africa's drylands.
Wicklife brings more than 15 years of experience in finance, operations, and grants management across the international development sector. His expertise spans financial management, donor compliance, strategic budgeting, audit and risk management, financial systems strengthening, and organizational growth. Before joining BOMA, he served as Chief Operations Officer at AFIDEP and held senior leadership roles at the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), Global Alliance for a Healthy Society (GAHSO), AMPATH, AMREF Health Africa, and Comitato Collaborazione Medica.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting with IT) from Maseno University, a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Nairobi, and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K).
Outside of work, Wicklife enjoys mentoring, community engagement, and exploring emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
